Now that I have picked out multiple fonts, I can now start to create mock-ups and get a more visual idea of my products.
Set #1
I chose these fonts because they have a fun, playful look to them and it doesn't give of any negative vibes. Their rounded corners will make the product feel friendly and inviting which is exactly what I'm wanting for a pride festival for the LGBT+, esspecially when they might feel hesitant or nervous to come.
Set #2
I chose these fonts because of their blocky typeface. These types of fonts are used for large-type needs such as advertisements or signage. Its easily readable and stands out from a distance making the product visually striking, also making the event have a grand feel to it.
Set #3
I chose these fonts because of the way they look handwritten. You don't see this typeface that often anymore due to them not really lending themselves easily to scaling across devises and screens. They all have an elegance and quirkiness look to them which makes them very effective for logos. Handwritten fonts aren't taken as serious as the others listed above which is what I like about them because for a pride event, its about personal connection and I feel like these fonts symbolise that well.
