Testing LGBTQ Prints with Gen Z

Introduction

I have decided to do a survey to test the different design trends, and prints for an LGBTQ pride event. Hopefully, doing this will give me an insight into what attracts the target audience the most. I collected images from google rather than making them because I didn't want to waste any time designing prints that the audience might not be attracted to.

My Results

Above is a collage of seamless surrealism prints, this one got the most votes. Some said they liked the simplistic design because it looks modern and clean, and others said that they found the aesthetic the most appealing out of the others. The audience also said that it got the message across without being too complex or jumbled with text and imagery.

Above is a collage of retro/vintage prints. My retro logo design won the last survey so I was surprised this didn't attract them this time. Some liked this design style because "it's retro with a modern-day twist" combining decades from the past with the future. Others stated they liked it because of its use of bright colours and art style.

This collage includes abstract prints and this one hardly got any votes. The people that voted said it looked the most professional. However, some said that it looked too hectic and crowded which I agree with.
