After sketching out an initial idea of what it would look like, I created the logo on Adobe Illustrator. Personally, I really like this design because of the typography and vibrant colours which are striking to look at. I wanted to incorporate the retro-futurism design trend in my products because as stated in a previous post, its bold and unique look pulls people in transports them to the good old days. This couldn't be needed more than ever after the recent years we have had. I wanted to take inspiration from the 70s and 80s as that's when a lot of the movement began for LGBT rights, and the first pride parade was held in the 70s so I wanted to pay respect to that. The key part of his design choice is to make people feel nostalgic, which will create a powerful psychological draw to anyone that was born in the 70s or 80s and since the retro design trend is as popular as ever this year, hopefully, it will reach out to a diverse, wide audience.
