My Culture

Introduction

In this post, you will learn about my culture and what defines it. I have decided to do this because the brief is asking me to explore and develop ideas for media products relating to the theme of 'My Culture'. Knowing my own culture is will help me develop my ideas and expand my knowledge on other cultures people might process.

What defines my culture?

The first thing that comes to mind when I think about my culture is that I'm British. I'm from England which very multi-cultural country (you can read more about British culture here). I am non-religious and would fit into the middle-class group system. This affects my culture because of the way I was brought up and the things that were available for me. As a gay man, LGBTQ+ culture is also a huge part of my lifestyle as part of me.

Reflection

LGBTQ+ culture interests me the most as I don't know much about it and I want to know more about my own culture. This is going to be the driving force of my idea development as I want to bring more awareness to the LGBTQ+ community.
