Overall Review

Introduction

In this blog post, I will reflect on all my work I've done for this unit and discuss what went well, what went wrong, areas of improvement, and the skills I've learned.

Review

This unit was valuable because I learned a lot of new skills and improved myself professionally and critically. Another thing I will take away with me is the experience I had with the target audience. Getting the audience involved with my work made me feel more like a designer and gave me confidence about my work. Normally I would keep it to myself and when it came to wanting feedback, I'd just ask if they liked it or not. But this time I got them involved fully and asked for their honest opinions about my work. I made a questionnaire on how I could improve and put it on my social media since I follow people in Gen Z. I got given a lot of feedback which I wasn't expecting but it really helped me progress because I knew what I needed to do. I now know the importance and benefits of creating multiple drafts and seeking out feedback and criticism.

Before starting this unit, I already had a basic level of skills in graphic design. From past projects such as rebranding to making posters in my spare time and invitations for family members. I'm wanting to go into the design industry so choosing graphic design as my area to go in made sense. The skills and experience I gained from this unit will help me prepare for the future and university. After taking this unit, I feel much more confident as a designer and I feel a lot more comfortable with the software.
