Testing the Logos with the Target Audience and Final Logo Design

Introduction

I am testing my logos because I want to get an idea of what direction to go in next. It's important to test my work with the target audience because when I have an approaching deadline, time is valuable and I can't afford to waste it when producing a product that fails.

I have currently tested my logo mock-ups with my peers who are from the ages of 17 and 19. The one in the lead now is the retro design. It came in close with the psychedelic design because of how different was from the other designs.

Retro design:

I personally also prefer this design from the others as I think it would look great on products because of its boldness and how striking it is. The colours make it noticeable as it makes the logo pop from any background, the font has a playful, friendliness look to it which symbolises a safe and welcoming environment. The only criticism I got from this logo is that it didn't look much like it was for an event, which I agree with. It needed something extra to say this is an event so I decided to add 'Huddersfield' above it to make the audience aware of where it was taking place.

Final version:

I will be analysing the final version in the next post.
